I had a look a different fabrics to see which one i liked the most and how they would drape. I have decided to go with the cherry pink colored silk, its drapes beautifully and is a really lovely color that fits with my theme.

Here i had a look on WGSN to have a look at some of the trend forecasts and trending colors  so i could get a feel for what colors and materials i would be looking for.

I have chosen Marilyn Monroe to be my muse, as i think she fits my brand COS perfectly and, she was such an icon and roll model when she was alive.

In the first week, we met up with fashion marketing and shared and discussed our ideas, this was a really nice insight into what fashion marketing had been doing and learning new things from them. We had to put together a presentation which was only 3 slides, but had all the important information of what we were going to be doing and about the company.

Here is the final bag…completed!!! We are all very pleased with the outcome.

In this session we got all the fabric printed up ready for construction, we also painted the wooden zippers ready to attach. Myself and Mya started to construction of the bag once everything was dry.

Here me and Mya made some fabric samples so we could see the thickness of the quilting we wanted and the size we would like the hexagons. We decided that we would would one layer of wodding and that would be thick enough and the size of the hexagon would be the same as the size of the hexagons would be the same as the sizes of the ones on the pattern.

In this session we looked at each others ideas of what they would like the bag to look like. We all decided we liked the idea of a front bum bag for on the slopes with easy access to carry your essentials in, we made it out of cardboard and tried it out. We decided this was not piratical and changed the whole design. The design now is a small one shouldered backpack to carry everything you need when on the slopes, such as your phone, your card, a snack and also has a water pack in it which you can take in and out so the bag can be used off the slopes as well. The shape of the bag has come from the Moncler badge that is on there coats. Everyone has put there own idea toward the bag and had equal input. As a team we are working really well.

Week one of our project, we had all got back from our Christmas holidays so we shared what we had done over the holidays and started to discuss out designs and draw some down. We started by talking about all our ideas and what we would like to bring to the bag, i really wanted to have a puffa bag but use a different not like the normal puffa, i thought maybe geometric shapes.
