Line up

Screenshot 2020-05-14 at 18.01.50So I have re-done my line up again as I thought it looked messy before, so I have decided to do it digitally, I prefer this a lot more and think it looks much more professional, and gives of the affect I want looking for. Also makes the clothes look more realistic and clean and smart, I prefer the collage affect for this and overall am very pleased.

Finshing of working drawings and range plan

Today I have edited my working drawings and finshed them off, they were lacking the detailing which needed to be added, so I completed that. I am very pleased with how my working drawings have turned out and look very profesional and give of the effect I wanted. Once I had finshed my working drawings I looked at my range plan and added the effect I learnt from my trousers and jacket to the rest of my line up which had sheering on it, this has given my range plan/line up a lot more life and movement to it, the next step with my range plan is to organise it and choose differnt colour ways for them and get it industry ready.

Working Drawings

I am much happier with the look of my flats as they give off the effect my garments do, so going back into them definetly has paid off, the next step is just to adust my range plan so its gives the same effect.

Developing my line up

Screenshot 2020-05-08 at 18.26.50After playing around with different tecniques, I have decided to make my line up more of a collage, and play around, I tried the women in colour but she didnt look right and distracted from the garment, so decided to do black and white. I am really happy with the outcome of this, I think to improve if I have time I will digitally do it, but for now I am really pleased with the outcome.

Playing around with my portfolio

Today I have explored my options for my portfolio, such as my line up…I have decided to digitally draw my images to make them neater and look smarter, I am not very good at drawing faces, so looks at alternative ways to signify a head, the bottom image with no face I did like but felt like it was missing something, so I took am image on the person I wanted, and changed it to black and white and played around with it for abit until I liked it, I also added a coral drawing I did as a head piece, I think this looks alot better and fits the theme more. My next steps are going to be to finish my line up and play around with it abit more, maybe add some colour to the head piece and to play around some more with my mood board and design development pages.

Doing the line up

I am pleased I spent the time to redraw my line up, it definetly looks much better.

Making the gilet and shorts

Here for my second look i have made a gilet and a pair of shorts, I am really pleased with the way my gilet has turned out, i used the same pattern block as i did for my jacket in look one, but i changed the neckline as it was to sharpe on the jacket, but very pleased with the overall look. The shorts I am also pleased with, i think if i was making them again, or in the actual fabric i may have done the sheering all over as im not sure how keen i am on only the one side, but that was part of the design also it gives it a differnt and edgy look to it, so maybe i will see how it looks when the top is made and its all put together.

Making the T-shirt

So the original design for my T-shirt was for it to be cropped, and just to be a plain t-shirt, i decided that i thought the t-shirt should have its own little feature about it, so i have made the t-shirt longer so it can be worn tucked into the trousers and bloused over, or worn untucked, and with a little design feature on the back keeping it open but with just a few loop holes and covered buttons to keep it together, i have biased binded the neck line, and am very please with how the t-shirt is looking, with the finishing touches added, we should be there.

Making the Jacket

So i finished off making my jacket toil, while making i the jacket i decided i made the sleeves too long so i shortened them, also the sleeve needed some alterations as it looks too baggy so i made the sleeve slightly more fitted, i also curved the neck off, but i think i need to curve it off more as its still too pointy, i am so pleased with the out come of my jacket its exactly how i wanted it to look, and gives off the effect i wanted it to…next to make the t-shirt to go with it.
