Along with working on my porftolio this week I have also started production of my first look. I love the orange satain so much, it gives it such a luxurious look, and the cuff detail just adds an extra touch to it which gives it a more expensive feel to it.

Updated Line Up

I have spent a lot of time updating my line up to make it fit the theme of my project, and I am finally pleased with how it looks. I feel this really fits the theme and the muse’s are inspired by the images that are in the Florence Given book. I think this line up really bring my portfolio together, and is the perfect grand finally.
Playing around with my Muse board
This week I have been working on my muse board, I really struggled with the imagery doing this board, but I feel as if I am starting to get somewhere with it now, I feel as if I could possibly add something else but just not 100% sure what that should be at the moment. But I am really pleased with how it is coming along. I also ordered all my fabrics this week so I can start making my garments next week, and have started putting together my process boards.
Working on my illistrations for my line up
This is another attempt I have had at my illistrations, I really struggle with drawing and illistrating my garments. I always have these amazing ideas in my head but can never get them down on paper, or a screen in this case. I think there are definetly a few tweaks to make to this line up, but I am really pleased with how far it has come and how it is looking, I also think it reallly suits my theme.
Working on my moodboard

I have been working on my moodboard, and making sure I create the correct mood straight away. I am really with what I have come up with at the moment with the help of my teachers. I think you get instant feel for the theme, and that the target audience is a very classy girly girl, who is very absorbed in social media and taking notes of the do’s and dont’s but at the same time wants the make a change and feel happy in the skin she is in.
Designing a logo and buisness card

Designing my logo, and business card for my final project, I am hoping to go into wedding dresses, prom dresses, and making one of red carpet dresses when I graduate from uni, so I wanted my logo and buisness card to look classy and expensive, but also look flowly and pretty as that is what all my garments look like and really fits my design asthetic. I have defiently got some more tweaks to make to polish it off and make it look professhional, but I am really pleased with my first attempt.
Photoshoot of my toile’s
I am so so so pleased with the final outcome of my two toile looks, they were exactly what I wanted to create, the only thing I may change is the bubble sheered skirt, I dont think it looks too flattering without the jacket. Due to timing I didnt get to finish the sleeve on my first look but that sleeve would be covered as well, and also the back on the second look that would be fully covered as well. Another thing I may change on my second look is the feathers round the neck, i’m not sure if there too much.
Second Competition Brief
In my second competition brief I decided to the the koi footwear, I wanted to explore designing shoe’s as it isnt really something I have looked at while I have been at uni, and thought it was a great opertunity to explore the shoe area, I am really pleased with my outcome of this brief, I went for the movement ‘Black Lives Matters’ as it is such a massive movement at the moment and very important and relivent. I love the colour palette and the repeat prints I have designed, i’ve never done a repeat print before so feel as if I have achieved a lot in this brief.
Compitetion Brief One

This is my first competiton brief that I did which was a Mulberry x British Fashion Council brief, the brief was to create a collection which was inspired by Britishness, my thought process was what is more britsh the the royal family, and after watching some episodes of the crown as well I felt this really fit the brief well. I am pleased with what I achieved with the time I had, if I had more time I would of added more movement and detailing to my line up, overal I am pleased with the outcome, I think the colour palatte works really well, and the line up fits the concept.
Portfolio Pages
These are my final portfolio pages for my submission on the 11th January, if I had more time I would like to add more detailing and movment to my line up, but i’m not sure how to achieve that so I think I will need some help. Other then that I am really pleased with these pages and I think the colour palete is perfect.
